ALIA prides itself on its superior customer service.
How we work with prospective clients
ALIA employs several different methods of working with prospective clients. One method is direct consultation with a principal, another is to request a copy of the prior year's insurance application. We then analyze the information provided, determine which insurance is best suited to your needs, and complete several applications for review and approval.
Due to our extensive relationships with underwriters from all the insurance companies we offer, we are able to anticipate questions before they are asked and to position information so that very few drafts are required before an application is ready for submission.
Drafts of applications are usually (if technically possible) sent by email for review and/or correction, and then finals are sent for signature. It is our experience that usually only one round of editing is required before an application is finalized. After a signed application is returned to ALIA, it is submitted by fax or email to the insurance company.
Quotes are quickly and easily obtained, sometimes within a week. We find that our quotes are unusually attractive to most of the firms we work with. Most of our clients achieve significant savings and they do it with ease. There is no charge for these services. We are compensated by our commission on your premium.
All information we are given in held in the strictest confidence, and there is no obligation whatsoever on the part of any law firm to insure with ALIA or to accept any quote which is tendered.
How we work with existing clients
Approximately 60 days before a firm's insurance coverage is due to expire, our producers will contact that firm's administrator and/or managing attorney to confirm that they are starting the renewal process, and to verify their information about the firm. Updated applications are sent to the firm for review and approval within several days of this conversation. Depending upon a firm's prior history and/or insurance needs, or the marketplace and developing trends, our producers may prepare several applications for a firm's renewal, however, it is ALIA's practice to try and maintain continuity with an insurer whenever economically feasible.
Quotes are provided well in advance of the renewal date so that the firm's administrator or managing attorney has plenty of time to make the right and most cost-effective decision for the firm.
